This wood species is seen as shade trees in Tea Estates all over India and is cut when shade is to be reduced. Purely a plantation origin wood species and is not from tropical forest origin. It has a cloth like appearance with numerous grain designs, which makes it attractive. Both dark and light colors are suitable for printing.
